Join multimedia artist Aphra Shemza in her new interactive digital painting workshop. The workshop is centred around her shemza.digital project which is a collaboration with computer artist Stuart Batchelor. Shemza.digital is based on the work of Aphra’s grandfather, the well-known British/Pakistani painter Anwar Jalal Shemza. During the workshop you will be introduced to the historical context of the project, the three artists’ work, create your own digital paintings using the bespoke shemza.digital painting application and watch them come to life using shemza.digital #3 our real-time animation artwork.

The shemza.digital interactive digital painting workshop is a new format created in 2021 following the creation of shemza.digital #3 - an animated installation that updates in real-time. These workshops could be stand alone or activate the installation if exhibited at your venue. Watch the video below to see how the interaction will work for the workshops.
