Medium: Mounted Fine Art Print on Canson Platine Fibre Rag paper | Size: Print - 297 × 420mm | Mount - 400 × 500mm | Edition: Limited edition of 30
This work is a digitally rendered 3D image created using bespoke software developed in Unreal Engine, originally used to generate animations for the project’s latest interactive digital artwork - a guided meditation experience. With its flowing abstract forms and luminous palette, the piece is designed to evoke reflection and connection.
The shemza.digital roots project is created for and with the British public and celebrates heritage, wellbeing and connection. It draws inspiration from the pioneering work of British/Pakistani artist Anwar Jalal Shemza which is reinterpreted through the contemporary practice of Aphra Shemza, his granddaughter. By translating these ideas into digital and immersive forms, the project continues Shemza’s legacy for new audiences.
This work was created to raise funds for the next stage of the shemza.digital roots project. You can buy an edition of this print via our online shop - all proceeds will go towards keeping our programming free and accessible in the future.
